Orthopaedics

Orthopaedic cases can range from hip or knee replacements to spinal decompressions and fusions or burns. Any kind of orthopaedic injury or elective surgery will likely have associated precautions for your recovery post-surgery.

These precautions can make it difficult to perform previous activities such as dressing, showering or carrying objects from A to B. Occupational therapists are able to guide you on how to live your life in line with these precautions by either providing advice on adapted techniques or prescribing equipment to make some tasks easier.
